About ACT

Through collaboration with our early childhood provider agencies, we uphold exceptional standards of practice and business ethics for family-centered services in Arizona.

Arizona Cooperative Therapies was established in 2006 through a shared vision to ensure small therapy businesses would thrive in serving the birth to three population effectively under the then upcoming new state AzEIP Team-Based Early Intervention contracts. Originally, a group of five therapy agencies established the Cooperative, developing its foundational structure, and began its expansion to add a number of therapy agencies. ACT was successful in being awarded nine AzEIP contract regions in 2013.

The vision of ACT since its inception has been to set the standard for success in the early childhood community. The foundational Cooperative approach of ACT allows the small business owners of Arizona therapy agencies an opportunity to continue service delivery to a population it would likely no longer be able to serve due to various state contracting regulations and restrictions. ACT member agencies thrive on partnerships with one another, networking potential, and access to resources, knowledge and strengths of one another.  Since our establishment, ACT has maximized the potential for high quality and innovative service delivery in an efficient manner.

Today, Arizona Cooperative Therapies is made up of nine therapy agencies, all of varying sizes and participation within the Cooperative. ACT currently holds contracts in three regions across Maricopa and Pinal counties, to provide excellent Team-Based Early Intervention Services. In 2021, ACT also began its expansion to other Early Childhood programs and was successfully awarded contracts through the Department of Child Safety, to provide services under its Family Connections and Nurturing Parent Programs.

In summary, ACT brings together a diverse group of creative, experienced small business owners who have unique specialties and have proven their dedication to providing quality services to the Early Childhood community. Collectively, we believe in strong partnerships, hiring exceptional team members, and delivering high quality services.
